If your familiar with Linux, think of a package manager for Windows, the difference being Seven Update does not officially support Installation of programs. Seven Update is also great for developers with an easy to use SDK, which allows developers to easily use Seven Update for their update distribution needs without code. Seven Update is open source and licensed under the GNU GPL 3.0
What applications can be updated?
Virtually any application as long as someone is supporting it. Software developers can add support for their software very easily and release updates in as little as 2 minutes. Currently the following software can be updated with Seven Update.
Updates provided by Seven Software, updates may be released at a slower schedule. Publisher support is pending.
