I have ditched svn for mercurial, which is a distributed vcs, the future of open source code collaboration.  Subversion is showing it’s age and it was painfully slow. My first commit with hg was small, but it was so quick i thought it wasn’t working. Subversion would of taken 25 seconds to commit 2 files, hg took less than 2 seconds.
